Products Description
Manhole covers are an essential component that form part of the wider tank truck range. They act as an emergency vent for fuel tanks, but also feature several other key benefits to keep people safe in the event of an accident. These include tank breathing and flanges for ancillary equipment that help protect against rupture, division reversal and explosions. We have manufactured manhole covers for petroleum tankers for over 18 years. Manhole covers are arguably the most important safety component fitted to a vehicle's tanker. HUATE models include emergency venting to prevent tank explosion if a fire occurs (7000 m³/hr at 350 mb), as well as a pressure vacuum breather to complete with rollover seal to stop leakages if a tank is overturned. Operators are also kept safe by a two-stage opening mechanism that releases residual pressure before fully opening. This stops dangerous kick-backs. Our cast option includes blind bolt holes to ensure no liquid cargo can leak through and webs on the underside of the base plate to increase structural integrity. The springs used for the emergency venting are corrosion-proof, assuring correct operation regardless of environment.
